What Makes Our Organically Raised-Regenerative Seasonal Salad Mix Special
Our salad mix is harvested fresh from our garden field. It includes a variety of greens that thrive in this season’s climate, offering a unique combination of flavors and textures. Here’s what you can expect:
Baby spinach for a tender, mild base
Young Chard Greens adding an earthy crunch with nice color
Red and green leaf lettuce for crispness and color
Curly Endive/Chicory with its slightly bitter, curly leaves
This mix is perfect for creating salads that are both visually appealing and delicious. This is not your normal generic clamshell greens that are always on the shelf day after day and year after year at the grocery. This mix has character and pizazz, not normalcy!! One can chop the chard and Endive and keep spinach and lettuce leafs whole for a beautiful combination. Or it can be nice to chop all and toss. These type of leafs are also great to put one sandwiches throughout your week.
Why Choose Seasonal Greens
Eating seasonally means you get produce at its peak flavor and nutritional value. Seasonal greens are fresher because they don’t have to travel far or sit in storage for long periods. This freshness translates into better taste and more nutrients.
Seasonal salad mixes also support sustainable farming practices. By choosing what grows naturally in the current season, farmers reduce the need for artificial growing conditions and long-distance shipping. This helps lower the environmental impact and supports local agriculture.
Tips for Enjoying Your Seasonal Salad Mix
To make the most of your fresh salad mix, try these ideas:
Keep it crisp: Store your salad mix in a sealed container or bag with air pushed out with a paper towel to absorb moisture. This keeps the leaves fresh longer. Should last wonderfully in the bag you pick it up in!
Add variety: Toss in nuts, seeds, or dried fruit for texture and flavor contrast.
Dress simply: Use olive oil, lemon juice or vinegar, salt, and pepper to highlight the natural flavors.
Mix with other veggies: Add other seasonal sliced veggies, or shredded carrots for a colorful, nutrient-packed bowl.
Create a One Bowl Wonder: Use the salad mix as a base for grain and beans bowls, hard boiled eggs, or grilled or precooked cold meats and fish.
Benefits of Eating Fresh Salad Greens
Including fresh salad greens in your diet offers many health benefits:

High in fiber which supports digestion
Contains antioxidants that help protect cells
Supports hydration due to high water content
Eating a variety of greens also introduces different phytonutrients that contribute to overall wellness.
